A people descended from Japheth; in Ezekiel 38-39 "Gog" is the prince of the land of Magog. Traditionally identified with the Scythians, north of the Black Sea and the Caucasus, without precise archaeological support. In Revelation 20:8 the name is used symbolically/eschatologically, not as a literal geographic reference.
